About Recipe Cheese

We test it until it works in your kitchen.

Recipe Cheese started with a simple complaint: too many recipes look great and cook badly. So we built a small test kitchen in Fort Lauderdale, FL and started over, one dish at a time.

Today the club holds 212 recipes across 15 categories, from weeknight chicken to a showstopping Basque cheesecake. Every one is cooked, adjusted and cooked again before it goes live. Half of them are free forever, because good cooking should not sit behind a paywall. Members keep the lights on and unlock the rest.

Our shop grew out of the same kitchen. When a pan, knife or grater earned a permanent spot on our counter, we worked with makers to produce our own version, and we sell only those.

What we believe

Four kitchen rules

1

Tested, not styled

A recipe is done when it works for a home cook with a regular stove, not when it photographs well.

2

Real measurements

Clear quantities, honest times and the doneness cues that matter more than a timer.

3

Generous by default

50% of our recipes are free forever, and every purchase has a 30-day money-back guarantee.

4

Tools that last

We only sell gear we cook with ourselves, and we would rather you buy one good pan than five.

Meet the cooks

Marisol Vance
Founder & Head of Recipe Development

Marisol Vance

Comfort food and weeknight-friendly recipe design

Marisol started Recipe Cheese after years of cooking in restaurant kitchens and teaching weekend cooking classes, where the same question kept coming up: how do I make this taste as good at home? She built the recipe club around that idea, with clear instructions, honest timing, and a healthy respect for good cheese.

Today she leads recipe development, shaping each new dish from first sketch to final test. She is happiest when a recipe works on the first try for a busy parent on a Tuesday night. Outside the kitchen, she spends weekends at South Florida farmers markets hunting for ripe mangoes and new ideas.

Theo Brandt
Test Kitchen Lead & Cheese Specialist

Theo Brandt

Cheese selection, melting science, and recipe testing

Theo runs the Recipe Cheese test kitchen, where every recipe gets cooked, tweaked, and cooked again before it reaches members. He spent several years working behind the counter of a specialty cheese shop, and he still cannot walk past a wheel of aged Gouda without asking for a taste.

He handles the cheese side of the club: pairing notes, melting advice, and the occasional deep dive into why a sauce breaks. Theo believes that good technique should be explained, not just described, so he writes the tips that turn a recipe into a lesson. His idea of a perfect evening is a well-built cheese board and a long conversation.

Head of Shop & Product

Priya Hollis

Cookware design, materials, and tool care

Priya leads the Recipe Cheese shop and the team that designs our house-brand kitchen accessories. Before joining, she worked in product development for housewares, where she learned to judge a pan by its weight, balance, and how it feels after an hour of cooking.

She works closely with the test kitchen so that every knife, board, and skillet in the shop earns its place by being used in real recipes first. Priya cares about tools that last, clear care instructions, and packaging that does not end up as a pile of waste. At home she is a dedicated sourdough baker with strong opinions about Dutch ovens.
